Every year, those who survived the Holocaust as children meet in a different country to share ideas, experiences and insights. This year’s international convention gathers in Skokie and features a screening of “Prisoner of Her Past.” Remarkably, one individual who was a child in Dubno – the same shtetl where Sonia was born and spent the first 10 years of her life – attends the screening and announces herself to Howard. Thus, nearly 70 years after the massacres of Dubno, a survivor speaks to the son of a survivor, and threads are connected.
Sixty years after the war, a survivor is running and hiding again…
